Summer Analyst Application


You will help identify and build the next amazing batch of startups, as they grow from ideas to early stage to venture-backed companies. From entrepreneurs, to investors, to mentors, your network is about to explode beyond all reasonable comprehension. You will have the opportunity to sit in on mentor meetings--get to know the best entrepreneurs and investors in the city, up close and personally. You will also have access to full involvement in local startup and VC events with the founders and local community.

Applicant Description
Current / recent undergraduate student in engineering, business, or relevant field
Current / recent graduate student in relevant field (MBA/JD/CS)
Demonstrated interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital

You should be willing to commit to 20 hours per week for a three month time period and available some evenings. Schedule is flexible but a strong commitment is expected. Applicants should be able to jump in and complete any task quickly and effectively. You should be a jack of all trades and have a varied skill set. We expect a great attitude, desire to learn and meet new people, lots of energy and enthusiasm. You should be scared of no task and be willing to take on any project, large or small.

General Job Description
Tasks will include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the angel investor group, and engaging with and assisting investors and entrepreneurs in any areas of need. This can include marketing, business development work, research, and providing regular content (blog posts and photos) to a social media manager. Examples of responsibilities: Helping the investors with anything, identifying needs and preparing for upcoming events, evaluating incoming business plans, identifying top applicants, organizing meetings and running logistics with large group of VCs and angels, taking meeting notes, and setting up office space for events. Associate will report to the managing director. Please note that this internship position pays in opportunities and connections and not monetarily.
